Been reading messages about make sure the air vents are clean and that there is enough space to allow the air to circulate. After a lot of googling and looking at my HP Pavilion - 15-cs3087tx the google says they are on the left had side but on examination they appear to be under the unit,
If this is correct, how do I make sure there is enough space to allow venting as the unit site in its base.
Regards

Hi,
Yes, the air enters from beneath and exits at the back near the screen

The rubber feet provide enough space when the PC is placed on a flat service. So under load, it is a good idea to have the PC on a flat service for optimal cooling.
Problems can arise if these vents are blocked (for example by a blanket) and overheating can occur. However, if the PC is overheating you will hear the fans and in the end, the PC will even shut down to protect itself.
Hope it helps,
David

Thanks for that. After reading HP requirements in Google it was saying leave plenty of space so that the laptop does not overheat. Looking at my model yes it’s on feet but there is minimal gap it’s on a hard flat surface.
in any case thanks for clarification on the air vent much appreciated.
