Dear Lady/Gentleman,
Kindly I ask your attention.
Another person asked me to have a look at his HP Pavilion 15 Notebook and USB stick.
It seems, that the notebook was fallen or hit very hard to something, with the USB stick in it.
The notebook keeps looping into Windows Recovery Mode. Did a Normal Start too, still it keeps going back to the Windows Recovery Mode.
In the past was mentioned to create a Windows Recovery Disk, but the person didn't want to do that.
The ESCAPE button doesn't work neither! 😞
Well,..
It's an old notebook, that will be used as a spear.
Looked online (maybe not good enough, but a lot of hours) to find information about 'How to complete disassemble the HP Pavilion 15'. Found a lot of different types, even though when taking a look at one with the same information, still it's shown with a different look/photo/picture.
Will try to get it going with a Live DVD/USB (when the option is present), Ubuntu 19.10, so the needed files can be recovered and the system can be fixed some how.
Windows 10 will be installed again.
And why isn't there the information about x32 and x64 at the information website.
What to download?
Did already create a Live DVD with the x64 version.

Many thanks about your reply, HP notified that I could phone them too! 🙂
I was occupied, so couldn't do much.
Found the information too and will try to find more information like about the DVD Drive, How to take it apart and put it back together again.
Will be done with pictures, I've a lot to do, when seeing this and it's not done about at least a month, or some less, Be so kind and Answer, so I can't forget. Thanks! 🙂
It's so annoying to find websites you think they might have the answer and didn't do much or anything about it.
PS: Have a happy work week & weekend! 🙂

Hi
"Many thanks about your reply, HP notified that I could phone them too! "
Be alert for scammers posting fake support phone numbers on the community. If you think you have received a fake HP Support message, please report it to us by clicking on "Flag Post".
My understanding is.....
HP do not offer free help, except for warranty claims.
https://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-phone-assist.html
Any other number than those in the list may be expensive, even scams.

Beste MeneerWitte,
What is it exactly that you are trying to do?
If you want to remove the harddrive to recover data, that will be easy. If you want to fix the computer, will be way more difficult but you could still manage.
I disassembled some laptops (and a dryer), and I learned if you don't have a description, just take notes/pictures as you disassemble, so you can re-assemble it afterwards.
Good luck,
Bart
