An HP Terra Drive with a Disk Failure the PC won't access it

I have a  External Terra Drive where many PC's won't acknowledge the drive.  The drive letter never shows. On new computers it download the drivers and produces a disk failure.

Sorry, but I can't find any information on any "HP Terra Drive".  Do you mean Terabyte drive?

If several PCs can't recognize it, that almost certainly means the filesystem has been corrupted so the OSs can't recognize the drive anymore.

To attempt to recover files and folders from the drive, you need to do the following:
1) Download and install this utility on a working PC http://www.majorgeeks.com/news/story/recover_data_in_3_steps_with_minitool_power_data_recovery_free_...
2) Run the data recovery utility to see what can be retrieved from the old drive.

If that tool does not find what you need, an alternative is Recuva http://www.piriform.com/recuva
