Dear HP Support Team,

I own an HP Victus laptop and am experiencing an issue with battery charging settings. I would like to limit the battery charge level to 80% to extend its lifespan, but I could not find an option for this in the BIOS settings.

I have also checked the available options in HP Command Center, but I did not find the feature I need. I would like to know if there is any update or software that allows me to achieve this goal, or if there are alternative methods I can use.

I appreciate your support and look forward to your response.

Best regards,

Hi @Mohamad71,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your laptop!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Check HP Software: Open HP Command Center and look for a Battery Health Manager or Adaptive Battery Charging feature. If not available, try HP Support Assistant for any firmware updates.

Check Windows Battery Settings: Go to Settings > Power & battery > Battery Saver. While Windows doesn’t offer a direct charge limiter, enabling Battery Saver at 80% may help reduce wear.

Check BIOS Again: Restart your laptop and press F10 to enter BIOS. Look under Power Management or Advanced Settings for options like Battery Care Function or Charge Limit Mode. If it's missing, your model may not support this feature.
