Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

Maintenance and Service Guide

Chapter 1 has the memory upgrade information.

Your notebook supports up to 2 x 16 GB of DDR4-3200 CL22 memory.

It will be fine to install a 16 GB memory chip along with the 8 GB memory chip that HP installed and have 24 GB of memory.

Just note that the memory will still run in single channel mode because in order for the memory to run in the higher performing dual channel mode, the memory needs to be installed in matching capacities in each slot (2 x 4 GB, 2 x 8 GB, 2 x 16 GB...).

Your notebook has two SSD slots.

While HP only offered 2 x 256 GB NVMe SSD's in the model series, you could install up to 2 x 4 TB NVMe SSD's if you wanted to.
