I have recently upgraded my laptop's HDD to SSD (as the HDD crashed- and so It was a good excuse to upgrade). I have changed the respective directories by running it in regedit. The only step now remaining is to change the sata drive to AHCI, however in my bios settings the option of device configuration doesn't exist, thus am unable to change the sata configuration. please help

Hi:
The drive controller is already set to AHCI.
For some reason the SSD tools always report that AHCI is not enabled on AMD platforms, but that is a false report.
When you use the Optimize and Defragment drives program in W10, it will recognize the drive as a SSD and will TRIM the drive.
If you look inside the AMD chipset driver, you will see in the setup information file references AHCI, but the device description is only AMD SATA Controller, not AMD SATA AHCI controller.
But your SSD will be performing at its best.
