HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop - 15-dk1035nr

After 2 years of use and numerous attempts to resolve the issue, I still can't fathom how this is acceptable from the company. I own an HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-dk1035nr, and I tried installing the latest BIOS update from the drivers page, but it said it's not compatible with my laptop. My BIOS version is F.45, but there's no corresponding version on the drivers center. I managed to get a driver (F.44) that worked for another model (HP 15-dk1000), but now, after a Windows update (F.45), none of the BIOS versions are compatible anymore, and I'm stuck.

Could you kindly provide me with the BIOS for my laptop without insisting on a warranty purchase? I previously had a warranty, but your support was totally unhelpful.

Hi @User20220901,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're encountering a message that says "BIOS Not Compatible" on your HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop - 15, it generally indicates an issue with the compatibility between the installed BIOS version and some hardware or software component. Here are some steps you can take to address this issue.

  • Update BIOS: In some cases, updating the laptop's BIOS to the latest version might resolve the compatibility issue. Visit HP's official support website, enter your laptop's model number, and download the latest BIOS update if available. Follow the provided instructions to update the BIOS.
  • Check Hardware Compatibility: Some hardware components, such as RAM, storage drives, or peripherals, could be causing compatibility problems with the BIOS. Make sure that any hardware you've added or upgraded is compatible with your laptop and its current BIOS version.
  • Rollback BIOS: If the issue started after a BIOS update, it's possible that the new update introduced the problem. Try rolling back to a previous BIOS version if that's an option in your BIOS settings.
  • Clear CMOS: Clearing the CMOS (Complementary Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor) memory can sometimes resolve compatibility issues. This process resets the BIOS settings to default. To do this, you may need to open up your laptop and locate the CMOS battery. Remove it for a few minutes and then put it back. However, keep in mind that opening the laptop could void your warranty, so proceed with caution.
  • Driver Updates: Ensure that all drivers, especially those related to hardware components like graphics, are up to date. Outdated drivers could potentially cause compatibility issues with the BIOS.
  • Software Conflicts: Sometimes, certain software installations or updates can cause compatibility issues with the BIOS. If you recently installed new software, consider uninstalling it temporarily to see if the issue resolves.
  • Hardware Troubleshooting: If you recently added or changed hardware components, try removing them one by one and see if the issue is resolved. This can help you identify the specific hardware causing the problem.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
