I recently downloaded the bios firmware given by hp support website under my hp 14-ac110la notebook
Everything is doing fine i created usb image to update my bios on system diagnostic
But there are no 80bc -system board id on the file given by hp.
Only 80bb, 80bd, 80bf
I am just updating bios because my battery is not charging when i am using my computer which happened recently when my battery drains. I can only charge when my computer is off or sleeping.
I've tried too many methods and nothing works so upgrading bios is my last chance but the 80bc file was not presented on the file i download on hp website
I hope someone can help me thanks in advanced!

Good Day! Thanks for taking an interest in the HP Support Forums! I read your post about an issue with the computer not booting. I will be delighted to assist you here. 🙂
Fabulous diagnosis and superb analysis of the issue before posting. Kudos to you on that score. It is always a privilege to work with technical specialists like you. 🙂
You are a valued HP customer and it is paramount to assist you here. We greatly appreciate you for doing business with HP.
For better clarity and to assist you better I would require more information regarding this.
- Have you tried with a different charger and battery?
Please calibrate and test the battery from this link: http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-14-Notebook-PC-series/8499318/model/9068279/document/c0470077...
Please perform all the steps from this link.
Please try to update the bios either through HP support assistant or from this link:
Then if it still does not work, please contact a local Best Buy or staples technician for trying with another adapter and battery, only if the battery is a removable one. If it still does not work, then battery controllers on the motherboard could be shorting while powering on and it is a hardware issue with the unit.
The notebook needs to be serviced and please contact HP phone support by following these steps: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-14-Notebook-PC-series/8499318/model/9068279
Step 1. Open link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
Step 2. Enter Product number or select to auto detect
Step 3. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"
Step 4. Scroll down and click: HP contact options - click on Get phone number, Case number and phone number appear.
They will be happy to assist you immediately.
If the unit is under warranty, the manufacturer’s warranty should take care of it for you.
- If warranty options are not available with HP and if the computer is out of warranty by a long time, then please contact a local technician to get the unit serviced or fixed.
- HP may not have service options for the unit anymore if it is out of warranty by a long time as it is not manufactured by HP anymore.
Hope this helps. Let me know how this goes. I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the unit works great. 🙂 Please reach out for any issues and I'll be there to assist you. 🙂
To simply say thanks, please click the "Thumbs Up" button to give me a Kudos to appreciate my efforts to help.
If this helps, please mark this as “Accepted Solution” as it will help several others with the same issue to get it resolved without hassles. 🙂
Take care now and have a splendid week ahead. 🙂
