I am using a HP All-in-one Desktop that uses Windows 11 Home Version 25H2.
Every time I have received a message vie the HP Support Assistant/Dashboard I have always updated the recommended updates.
The latest one is giving me an error message "The BIOS you are installing is older than the current version in the system and cannot be executed.". The update is for BIOS family 8B4F, version F.35.
Having checked via the computers System Information Panel what BIOS version/date I am using it states "AMI F.31, 31/07/2025"
I am unclear what the error is and what I should do to correct this.
Any help would be appreciated.

Then that's just a software glitch. Avoid forcing it or you may damage your laptop firmware. If you want to ensure you are on latest version then, Compare your current BIOS version with the latest BIOS version available on the HP drivers page for your laptop. This mismatch suggests the tool is either misdetecting your current BIOS or pulling an outdated package for family 8B4F.
Also, I hope you know that if anything goes wrong during a BIOS update, your laptop could brick. That's why only recommend bios update if any major improvement is there or facing any issue with current version of BIOS.
