HP Pavilion x360 Laptop - 14-dw0126ng
Microsoft Windows 11

Greetings,

I would like to update my BIOS because I'm experiencing issues with the battery and docking station.

The windows battery report isn't reading properly and the docking station connects and then disconnects in a cycle.

The issue is that on the support site for the laptop there is no software available, I know it says everywhere that in this case there is no update available, but in my notification about the laptop are two messages about a BIOS security updates.

And I never updated it before on this laptop.

Is there a way to update the BIOS?

Thanks in advance

You have to use old BIOS/drivers from the series

Hi, thanks for the info.

Unfortunately I have Windows 11 and there is no Software available.

Are the versions from Windows 10 compatible with Windows 11 23H2?

With the link from above and Windows 10 selected as operating system it doesn't work. The downloaded application is nothing like shown in this manual (update manually). The "Download assist" just downloads a "BIOS_Update.exe" but nothing else happens. The selection screen to select if I would want a Update or USB stick isn't showing. Is there a new manual? Or am I doing something wrong?

It is an exe file, you can download to USB or to your machine and run that exe file.

Like mentioned before, after executing the "BIOS_Update.exe" nothing happens.

I also deactivated the kernel protection, because with it active there was a driver security error, but with out it there is no action.

Sorry I don't know that file. Normally it should be  SPnnnnnn.exe file. (nnnnnnn is a number).

When going back two BIOS versions, to the version F.32 Rev.A, the installer works.

You have a massive flaw in your system.

Also I´d like to add, that the support for Windows 11 is, despite the advertisement on Windows 11 support, devastating.

On the Drivers and Software download site, it detects Windows 11, but doesn´t show it properly.

And the worse part is that you don`t give any downloads for Windows 11. Even if they are the same, it should be listed as compatible for Windows 11 too.

The support assistant is a great tool, but if it doesn´t work with Windows 11 it`s not ok to advertise as much Windows 11 support. From this manual I get that a BIOS update should be as easy as a click of a button in the support assistant, but it just says the computer is up to date, which it wasn´t. And is not to this point.

So please go and fix your problems as fast as you can so I can update my BIOS to the newest version. Without having to ask a bunch of questions, because it doesn´t work as advertised and written down in many manuals.
