HP Notebook - 17-by0040nr
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Trying to flash the InsydeH20 F.10 BIOS on my 17-by0040nr. I have a Windows 10 install CD, when I run sp92133 from a dos prompt it returns, not compatible with this OS! How am I supposed to upgrade the BIOS on this laptop?

@Kernel_Panic

Please use File Explorer, not DOS prompt.

(a) Open File Explorer,

(b) Locate downloaded file,

(c) Right click and select run as Administrator.

There is no file explorer on a Windows rescue/install disk.

Not at all impressed with the latest HP Hardware or Firmware. The fact you have to flash the bios from a full Windows install is rediculous. The fact it cant recognize a new HP SSD that is compatible with the system is infuriating. The fact that the support software just crashes, all of it, without exception, is a joke. What a waste. I'll never buy another thing from HP.
