BIOS update, when will it work?

Hi!

I am not able to update my BIOS for 2 years and I should ask when will it be possible? When I tried it failed every times and I had to make a system backup. So I ignored and I don't dare to update rather, better if I'd make a total system crash. But anyway it's a joke HP can't solve this old problem. So any info in this issue?
