BIOS update

Hi, I'm receiving BIOS update in HP support assistant app every time, so is it necessary to update BIOS in every update? what's the use of it? Is it slows down booting? plz guide me

What is a BIOS Update?

It’s a software update for your laptop’s motherboard.

It helps your laptop start (boot) and talk to the hardware.

Why Does HP Keep Showing BIOS Updates?

To fix problems, improve speed, or patch security.

Should You Update Every Time?

If the update says "security fix" or "fixes boot problems" → Yes, update.

If you’re having issues (crashing, freezing, etc.) → Yes, update.
