Good morning everyone, after all this time I upgraded my pavilion zd8000 (p/n EL032EA # ABZ) going from XP to Win 7 and adding 2 sticks of 2 GB of RAM.
Win 7 sees only 2.5 Gb and also in BIOS resulting 2.5 Gb.
looking on the internet I read that I should update the BIOS (now version is F.33) to make him see the 4 Gb but on the HP website is not possible download anything due the PC has more than 10 years.
Also from the HP website are advised not to download the BIOS from the motherboard manufacturer cause might not recognize any system recovery CD ...
Does anyone know where to download an updated BIOS for Win 7 and above all safe?

Its very important to check if you have the same type of memory module (RAM). If the modules are different then only one type of module will be read and used. Yes, HP recomends upgrading BIOS from HP website.

Try installing HP Support Assistant which will automatically download and install drivers/updates:
