I tried to turn on the keyboard backlight with fn + F3 keys but it did not work. I have also tried doing the driver update and also searched the BIOS ,but I could not find an option of keyboard backlight.

I would genuinely appreciate if my problem is solved .😊

Thanks

   (a) If No: machine does NOT have backlit keyboard,

   (b) If Yes please use the following Guide

I genuinely appreciate your help.

It does not have the certain key, but in the manual of HP PROBOOK 640G2, it shows that light can be turned on. Also on internet ,I found many videos showing that light can be turned on ,on this laptop. This means that there must be option of turning on the backlight. How can I do that. Can you please explain further..?:) I tried bios but it doesn't contain backlight option.

Please read the manual again (document c04919621.pdf). HP PROBOOK 640G2 is a series of dozens of different models/products. Each machine can have one of the following 4 options for keyboard

  1. HP Advanced Keyboard
  2. Touchpad, Spill-resistant with drain
  3. Touchpad, Spill-resistant with drain, DuraKeys and backlit
  4. Dual Point, Spill-resistant with drain, DuraKeys and backlit

Your machine probably only has 1 or 2
