It's screen then goes black with no writing , no cursor and it just stays like that doing nothing . It has been left doing this for up to 48 hours until me or my other half just turn it off as it is not making any noise like loading or otherwise .
We have also tried to restore or factory reset using the f8 and f11 keys and it doesn't do anything with no sub menus or anything . The only sub menu we can get is the bios menu .
( Which I have reset to default settings). We have bought a new version of Windows10 to put on it but cannot install it due to no prompt on sub menu screen. I would really appreciate any help with this , I understand that we may have lost all data on the laptop, but needs must . Thank you for your prompt response 😊

Hi,
►Turn your computer back on then tap ESC button repeatedly
►Once start menu is up, go to F11 Recovery then wait for a couple of secs
►Once Recovery Manager is up, Click Trouble Shoot >Advanced Options >Command Prompt
A black box will appear. This is your command prompt window.
►Type the following command:
bootrec /scanos Then press enter
bootrec /rebuildbcd Then press enter
bootrec /fixmbr Then press enter
bootrec /fixboot Then press enter
Note: Your computer will restart and automatically download windows update. It will take 4-5 minutes. Dont leave your computer unattended.
Hope this one helps.
