HP Notebook - 17-ca0003na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HI, is there any way to limit the charge to 80% or therabouts on this laptop? Going into the BIOS, there doesn't seem to be a way to do it. Or is HP finally producing an application to facilitate nthis action?

Thanks.

Hello @glide1

Sorry to hear that you are having problems ... I would like to help you.

(1) BIOS version F.62 Rev.A does not currently have this feature. Send a request to HP Support if and when your notebook will get this feature. This question should be answered by an HP technician. Some business line notebooks already have this feature enabled via update.

(2) The solution is that "there is no solution at the moment".

(3) You should use the battery balanced from time to time.

That is all I can recommend.

Good luck

Thanks. Is there an easy way to talk directly to HP Support, as per your suggestion? The system seems to keep directing me to the Community.

You're welcome !

If you have valid HP warranty, communication by submitting a case should work. However, it is questionable whether your technical request will be followed up promptly.

Good luck
