Dear Customer Service,
My laptop HP Notebook bw531au was bought on 2 November 2018. Recently I found my laptop battery Draining Fast which seems like unreasonable, Once laptop fully changed when I unplug the charger after 6 to 8 hour my battery capacity from 100% drop to 84% while it was off during that moment.
That was the reason I suspect my battery may have problems, therefore could you please help to advice whether it is a defect battery?

I reviewed your post and I understand that the battery is draining when the computer is turned off.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
I recommend you update the BIOS from the below link and check whether the issue is resolved.
BIOS: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp91001-91500/sp91347.exe
If you continue facing the issue, follow the below steps.
Step 1: Click the Windows “Start” button and right-click “Computer.”
Step 2: Click “Manage,” then “Device Manager.”
Step 3: Click the “Batteries” section. A list of devices will appear.
Step 4: Right-click the “Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery” device and click “Uninstall.”
Step 5: Click the “Action” menu item and “Scan for Hardware Changes” to reinstall the driver.
Restart the computer and the issue should be fixed.
