HP Notebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Hi!

I have a problem with my battery, it does not charge up to 100% and then when it is around 40-50%  it shutdown without warning. I can only use my laptop without plugging to AC source for about less than an hour.

I updated my laptop and searched on how to fix it.

1.)  I tried the HP Battery Check and the result is "OK"  but it doesn't show any changes with my battery problem so,
2.) I performed the "device manager" thing where you uninstall the Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery -> turn off the  laptop ->remove the battery for a minute -> turn on the laptop -> go to device manager -> expand the battery -> right clicked the  Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery ->click the search automatically for updated driver software  (still it doesn't helped},
3.) I also tried turning off my laptop -> removed the battery -> pressed the power button for 15 seconds ->put the battery back -> turned on the laptop and it doesn't helped as well 😞

I need your help  please 😞

Thanks,
Mj

Hello

that kind of product has a battery technology that usually lasts for about 300 charging cycles and warranty is one year only.

I guess that your battery almost reached his end of life despite of battery diagnostic result, if your are not happy with it, You should replace it with a new battery. this is the only thing I can suggest you.

Every cell in the battery pack is able to keep power, but the quantity of power the battery can save decreases at every recharge , it is a natural physical chemical process. Finally it starts to have problem and die at all.

bye
