I am in need of replacing my battery.  My HP Envy laptop does not charge anymore but still works as long as the laptop is still plugged in the outlet.  Having trouble looking up the correct battery replacement using my laptops serial number and product number.  My system information shows a primary battery SN 05079 with the year date.  Any suggestion on where to purchase a replacement battery?  My next route is to remove the back panel to view the battery but thought I would ask for advice first, thanks

Normally HP does NOT keep spare batteries at HP Parts Store. Part # for your battery should be on its label. On page 18 of its manual, it uses battery part # 916814-855  which is a 3 cell Prismatic battery - 55.8Whr (3S1P, 4835mAh).

 

Please order from Amazon, Newegg, Bestbuy .... or eBay

Thank you for the advice.  I received my battery & fan today and was able to replace the parts easily.  My system seems to  be running like new and with no issues, appreciate it!
