I have started having problems with the secondary battery on my HP Envy x2. I've had it for a couple of months now and to begin with everything was fine. A couple of weeks ago I began to have intermittent warnings when I turned on the Envy. It said that there was a problem with the calibration of the secondary battery and it needed callibrated or possibly replaced. The problem is that even though it says this it sometimes shows that the battery has successfully fully charged and sometimes it doesn't. It doesn't always appear to use the charge sitting in the secondary battery, this is intermittent too. I have been through the battery callibration procedures and although the battery again shows as 100% charge it still says the battery needs callibrated.

OK.
Your Envy x2 has an 11-030ea product name.
Follow the troubleshooting procedures on this HP web document. If you still have issues with the batteries \an\or charging afterwards, I suggest contacting HP for warranty service.

Are you sure about that? Use the HP Support Assistant to find the Product number or in the BIOS on the system information tab.

If as you say the power adapter only works sometime then you should consider that it may be faulty.
Is your x2 still in warranty?
If it is, then now would be a great time to resolve this while parts still can be replaced without cost under the warranty.

The power adapter always has a light so is not faulty. It definately has something to do with the secondary battery or the software that reads the power level in the secondary battery as I am getting mixed messages about the amount of charge in the secondary battery. Haven't worked out yet if it is intermittently charging or if the software is misreading the charge.
