hello i owned HP Elitebook 840 G5 in case u wondering, had 2 GPU (Intel UHD 620 & Radeon RX 540)
so i bought this device secondhand from a laptop store, and it work just fine until i know that theres battery charging limit that limits your battery to 80% in order to save your battery life
so i try to enabling it from the BIOS but does not work, try the HP Power Manager software, still charge to 100%
until i realize that my BIOS version is old (01.21.01), so i try to update the BIOS to the newest version (01.31.00) and after the update it did work and limit the battery to 80%, but the next morning i open my laptop its fully charged 100% (i did not connect any charger from last night) and its hapening everytime the battery limit work, from that day its sometimes work and sometimes not (now its completely not working)
also i realize my FAN is not working anymore (when the device hot), to fix it i tried to install newest version of my AMD software (since its old and i think my fan is "connected" to my AMD software whatsoever) turns out my device is OEM and i cant install newest software from AMD officials website, so i rollback to the original version, and so the BIOS (download them from HP website)
but none of the are working now (battery limit & fan) and i have been struggling bcz i have to cooling down the heat of my laptop and to discharge my charger when its 80ish%
your little help wouldve been so helpfull to me
thx
