Product: HP Laptop 15-bs0xx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I ran a battery check and it says that my battery is weak. Do you suggest buying a new battery to fix this problem? My computer has had some issues with this lately because it only works when it is plugged in. If it is unplugged the computer screen turns black and shuts down within 10 minutes. Is this just a battery problem or could this be another issue?

Okay I think you need to calibrate your battery. Calibrating means completely draining battery and you can use HP diagnostic tools. If you don't know how to do that then search on YouTube how to do that. But before that you need to HP Diagnostic tool for your device.
