Product: HP Notebook - 17-ca0095nr

When turned on it says plugged in not charging with a blinking white light I've tried everything it said I don't know what to do and I have a brand new charger cable I got this laptop from my grandfather after he passed away and was working and charging just fine before. So does anyone have and idea to help fix it?
