Product: HP Pavilion Notebook - 17-g113dx (ENERGY STAR)

My battery is "plugged in, not charging" at 0% battery and will shut down with no warning while plugged in. What do I do to fix this? I ran a diagnostic and everything passed, except for the battery which obviously failed and then got this code:  M7H3KW-7T797V-MFPWLK-C0C013? With no explanation as to what that means.  I'm thinking I may need a new battery but not sure how to proceed?

The error code verifies what you already suspected. The battery is bad and will have to be replaced. The Manual says you need battery part number 800049-001. Unforutunately it is no longer available at HP Parts. You should be able to find one on Amazon or other sites. I would use caution ordering on ebay.
