HP Notebook - 15-ba042au
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have bought a new replacement battery for my pc  15ba042au 3 to 5 days ago through online mode. I got the battery in good condition and with all the original tags and security id but when i try to fetch warranty details it says invalid serial number and asks for product number but I don't see any product number in the cover or in  the inner side of the battery. I have verified the product using the QR code and security id provided and it's a  genuine part. So can any one help. The serial number of the product is BAT6RY3GNV and part number is MU06 item name is Hp HS04 4 cell notebook battery.

@satish28,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

Please use the utility tools provided in this HP link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_2268927-1713329-16, specifically "Test the battery using HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (preferred method)", "Test the battery using HP Support Assistant", and last but not least: "Calibrate the battery manually".

Hope this was helpful.

Kind Regards,

I tried scanning with the hp pc uefi hardware diagnostic tool but the scan automatically gets cancelled for both ac adapter and battery component check. And when i run the test on hp support assistant it ask to calibrate the battery but the battery is working fine. It give some steps to verify battery calibrate:-

Verify battery calibration

Perform the following steps to validate your battery calibration.

1. Connect the AC Adapter.

2. Fully charge your battery (99%-100%).

3. Keep the AC Adapter connected to the computer for 3 hours with the battery fully charged (99%-100%).

4. Launch HP Battery Check using HP Support Assistant to validate the results.

But still it doesn't help. The last option left is to go to boot menu by pressing the F2 button and entering the uefi system diagnostic tool  components test then selecting the memory extensive use till loop but the problem is that I  use an external monitor using hdmi cable and my current screen is damaged and i am unable to even see a single line on the screen and while booting the screen is not shown on my external monitor... So is there any other way i can go through it.
