hp model 15-db0011dx purchased few years back and just using it but only works when plugged in,

battery not charging, how do i replace it?

You can order a new HP battery from the HP parts store at the link below:  $100.40

If you don't want to pay that much for a battery, you can do a search by the HP L11119-855 battery part number and find a compatible aftermarket battery that references that part number...check on Amazon, eBay or laptopbatteryexpress.com.

 

I recommend you buy a battery that comes with at least a 1-year warranty.
