Hello, i have a 2022 HP Omen 15" Gaming Laptop. This laptop came brand new with windows 10 installed as its OS. From then until now, Windows 11 has been installed as the new OS. I am trying to get an update for my BIOS, but HP doesn't recognize that this computer is running windows 11 OS. It only provides me with Windows 10 OS from the drop down menu with the updates. How do i bet new Bios updates with this problem? My latest Bios version is from 2022

Hi:

You may have two choices:

Normally the W10 BIOS file works on W11.

I've done it several times on my HP notebook and desktop PC's.

I have no idea if you will have the same positive experience, but you may have this option if the file will let you make a USB recovery drive:

Watch these videos for how to create and use a USB BIOS recovery flash drive with the applicable BIOS update file from your notebook's support page.

How to make and use the BIOS recovery flash drive to recover or update the BIOS outside of Windows.
