Compac Presario CQ71-250so
Microsoft Windows Vista

Hi.

 

My current Operating System is Windows Vista 32-bit on my Compaq CQ-71 current Bios is F.06.
There is a never bios that solves the issue that computer stalls if you touch the mouse during startup that i can reproduce.
It also solves system hang on 64-bit OS.

 

I belive a need the bios reviosn f.23.

I have now successfully updated the bios from version F.06 to F.23.
A tip it takes very long time for the computer to shut down once Windows announces shutdown /restart , but don't force it with the power button, you will most likely corrupt your bios and make the computer unusable, it will shut down eventually once the upgrade is done it just takes time.
