I tried installing a hp bios update and it was found incompatible with my system ( bios image file specified not intended for this system) and my system just keeps on restarting

I'm currently dealing with the same problems. I work in IT for a big company and it seems that currently all HP 7x5 G5 notebooks download a faulty BIOS image when trying to update from network through the BIOS. I've also reported this to HP through the helpdesk. Hope they resolve it soon. For now you can update the BIOS using a flash drive.
