Black Screen fix on My Spectre x360 16 inch 2 in 1 Laptop. I left the laptop to do something, came back to a black screen. The keyboard was lit up but nothing on it would function at all. The keyboard was lit the whole time (approx 7 hrs) and I couldn't even switch the laptop off. I noticed the battery was almost flat earlier so put it on charge. I looked up every fix I could on my other computer. I tried everything suggested. So now 2 hours later, I decided one last thing to try. I had it on charge, so thought with the keyboard on, if I took it off charge it would eventually run out of power. So about 7 hours later here it was out of power. I knew now it had actually switched off. The only thing I wanted it to do was switch off so I could re start it. I put the charger back in and after hours of mucking around, it started like nothing had happened at all. So its a good idea to let your laptop run out of power totally then it has to go off. This allows it to start again. It still has 2 years extra warranty, so I wasn't worried about a costly fix, just the time it might take to do this. I ran an antivirus through it in case some update or other thing triggered the black screen. And now if I am going to be away from it for a while, I turn it off or put it on sleep. So far its working pefectly.
