Black screen and unresponsive cursor

Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I left my laptop on sleep for the night and opened it up this afternoon but when it turned on the screen was black and a box popped up saying that the sign in process failed and then I pressed the ok button. It’s been 15 minutes and the screen is still black and the cursor isn’t moving and the laptop isn’t turning off when I press the off button on the side for longer than 30 seconds. I was wondering how I can restart the laptop in this condition?
