I have HP Envy  15 Notebook PC, I used to connect to bluetooth devices, but offlate it is not connecting. When I check in the device manager, I don't see 'Bluetooth' in the list. With various information, I understood that, I need to install blue tooth drivers. Pl. help me on this.

Hi @MadhavaKN,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Sure, I can help you with that. To reinstall Bluetooth drivers on your HP Envy 15 Notebook PC, you can follow these steps.

Identify Your Bluetooth Adapter:

  • Go to the official HP support website.
  • Enter your laptop's model number (HP Envy 15) to find the specific drivers for your device.

Download Bluetooth Drivers:

  • Locate the Bluetooth drivers for your laptop model.
  • Download the latest Bluetooth drivers compatible with your operating system.

Install the Drivers:

  • Once the drivers are downloaded, run the installer.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to install the Bluetooth drivers.

Restart Your Laptop:

  • After the installation is complete, restart your laptop to apply the changes.

Check Device Manager:

  • After restarting, open the Device Manager.
  • Look for the 'Bluetooth' category. If it's not there, check the 'Network adapters' category as well.
  • If you see any yellow exclamation marks or if Bluetooth is still not listed, there may be an issue with the installation.

Windows Update:

  • Make sure your Windows operating system is up to date. Sometimes, Windows Update can automatically install the necessary drivers.

Troubleshoot Bluetooth:

  • Open the Windows Troubleshooter and run the Bluetooth troubleshooter. This can help identify and fix common Bluetooth issues.

Check Bluetooth Services:

  • Press Win + R to open the Run dialog.
  • Type services.msc and press Enter.
  • Look for Bluetooth Support Service. Make sure it is set to 'Automatic' and is 'Running'.

Update Windows:

  • Ensure that your Windows operating system is updated to the latest version.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Thank you Alden4 for your detailed step by step input, I have followed these steps before posting and I did it again today. Here are the observation for your analysis and further support:

1) When a check the windows update, it is up to date

2) I went to hpsupport site, i have input the laptop serial number and the name is correctly listed HP ENVY Notebook - 15t-k100 CTO (ENERGY STAR)

3) Not able to see the OS which I'm using in the dropdown list (I'm using Windows 10 version 22h2 (OS build 19045.3930)

4) When I tried 'read more', I see 'If the operating system (OS) version that is installed on your computer is not listed on the software download site for your HP product, HP does not offer any software or drivers for your product for that operating system. Alternative solutions might be available for your HP printer or computer'

I could not find the right blue tooth driver

5) Gooogled for support and I have installed 'Intel(R) Wireless Bluetooth (R) - 22.250.0.2, but still I don't find 'Blue tooth'  listed under Device Manager. (Not sure it is compatible to my product 😞

6) I have checked Network adapters category, blue tooth is not listed

7) Uninstalled Intel (R) blue tooth driver and re installed, restarted, but same issue

😎 Win+R - It is Running and Automatic (Trigger start)

Pl. let me know, what I'm missing, and as per observation 4, let me know the alternate solution

Regards,

Madhava
