Hey there,

I have been at this for a while, and followed everything the other forums have said. I am trying to get Bluetooth reinstalled on my computer after the windows 10 update. I have gone to my product page and downloaded the Bluetooth driver. The install wizard does its thing and says the install is complete. The issue is that I go to settings, then select bluetooth devces and it still does not appear. I then go to troubleshooter, and it says there is no Bluetooth installed. Has anyone else had this issue? How can I resolve this? Thank you for your help.

You're very welcome.

No bluetooth driver will work, because your notebook lacks the bluetooth hardware to install the driver to.

The computer is unable to support bluetooth unless you replace the Realtek RTL8188EE 802.11 bgn Wi-Fi Adapter with one of the wifi adapters listed in chapter 3 of the service manual for your notebook, that is a combination wifi/bluetooth adapter.

All windows pc's have a bluetooth setting, and have the windows bluetooth service.

It is useless without the bluetooth hardware.

Hi:

What model wifi adapter does your notebook come with?

If you don't know, go to the device manager click to expand the Network Adapters device manager category, and there you will find the name and model number of the wireless network adapter.

My wifi adapter is called, Realtek RTL8188EE 802.11 bgn Wi-Fi Adapter.

Hi:

The reason you can't connect via bluetooth, is that your notebook never came with bluetooth hardware.

The Realtek RTL8188EE 802.11 bgn Wi-Fi Adapter is a single band, non-bluetooth wifi adapter.

Thanks for clarifying that. The steps I described above, were they the correct ones for installing bluetooth? Or is the computer unable of support bluetooth? It is in my setting bar, so I imagine I would be able to get it on here.
