I have a HP Notebook Pavillion and I am struggling with some settings. It uses Windows 10.
1) When I bluetooth files from my phone to my computer, the photo's can't not be found anywhere. I did follow some of the posts from people here with similar problems, however I have tried via C/Users etc. + other variations, and nothing.
They are also not to be found under 'pictures' anywhere. When I use the search function on my computer, it can't find 'bluetooth exchange folder' at all. I believe I have windows 10.
2) When I download from the internet (whether it's Explorer or Chrome) I don't get asked under which folder I'd like to save. It automatically downloads in 'downloads' which is very unhandy for me. I did try to look under settings in Explorer, but can't seem to find anything to change this setting.
Can someone please assist me with this?
Thanks!

Hey there! @Simonkey, Welcome to HP forums.
I understand you need to know the default location of Bluetooth files received on your PC.
1. The default location would be: C:\Users\<profile>\AppData\Local\Temp\
Click show hidden contents from the view tab if the folders are hidden.
Right, click on the blue tooth icon in the taskbar.
Click on Open Settings.
Go the Shared Folders Tab.
A default location is listed for where the files will go, but you can create any folder and then designate this as the location for the files.
Click Apply.
Click OK.
2. To change the default download location from IE.
Open the File Explorer on your Windows 10 PC. Right click on the Downloads in the left pane of your File Explorer, and select Properties. Go to the Location tab and enter the new path for your desired download folder.
You can also move already downloaded files to the folder from here. Enter a new folder name and click on Yes to move all the files from one location to other.
Let me know how it goes!
Cheers! 🙂
