The Bluetooth on my HP Victus has suddenly stopped working. Bluetooth does not appear in Device Manager at all. I have tried multiple troubleshooting steps including reinstalling Mediatek Wi-Fi and Bluetooth drivers manually (INF method), uninstalling previous drivers, resetting BIOS to defaults, EC discharge (power button hold), scanning for hardware changes, and resetting services. Wi-Fi continues to function normally, but Bluetooth radio never enumerates in Windows.
I also ran HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI). The Wireless Stress Test and the Wireless Driver Update test both failed. Bluetooth device was not detected inside diagnostics either. This strongly indicates that the Bluetooth part of the Mediatek combo wireless module has failed at hardware level.
Since this issue persists even after complete software and driver recovery, I request repair or replacement of the wireless module under my HP Care Pack warranty.

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.
Thank you for explaining the situation so thoroughly—and I’m truly sorry the Bluetooth functionality on your HP Victus has failed despite all your careful recovery efforts. You’ve already taken every meaningful step to isolate the issue, and your diagnostics clearly point to a hardware-level fault in the Mediatek wireless module.
Since Wi-Fi remains functional but Bluetooth does not enumerate in Windows or diagnostics, and both the Wireless Stress Test and Driver Update test failed, the Bluetooth radio is likely non-responsive at the firmware or physical layer.
Final Steps Before Hardware Replacement
1. Confirm BIOS Wireless Settings
- Restart and enter BIOS (press Esc, then F10)
- Navigate to System Configuration > Built-in Device Options
- Ensure Wireless LAN and Bluetooth are both enabled
- Save and exit
This ensures the Bluetooth controller isn’t disabled at firmware level.
2. Test with HP App
- Open the HP App on your PC
- Go to Support > Diagnostics > Fix a Problem
- Run Wireless Connectivity and Bluetooth Troubleshooter
This may detect low-level issues missed by Device Manager.
3. Optional: Test with Live OS
- Boot from a Windows 11 installation USB or WinPE recovery drive
- Check if Bluetooth appears in Device Manager under a clean environment
If Bluetooth still fails to enumerate, it confirms a hardware fault.
