Hi this has been asked many times but i seem to be struggling.
Im sure my laptop has Bluetooth.
The on/off icon is missing and the drivers are non existent in device manager.
Ive tried all possible solutions from services right to hard reboots , nothing seems to work to get Bluetooth back up and running

Hi @Itsa1mario,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I can help you troubleshoot the Bluetooth issue on your HP ENVY TouchSmart 15-J101ni Notebook PC. Let's go through some steps to identify and resolve the problem.
Check if Bluetooth is Enabled:
- Look for a physical switch or button on your laptop that enables or disables Bluetooth.
- Check the laptop's function keys (F1, F2, etc.) for a Bluetooth symbol and press the corresponding key with the "Fn" key.
Check Device Manager:
- Open Device Manager on your laptop (you can do this by right-clicking on the Start button and selecting Device Manager).
- Look for any entries related to Bluetooth. If you don't see any, it's possible that the Bluetooth drivers are not installed.
Install Bluetooth Drivers:
- Visit the official HP support website for your laptop model.
- Locate the Bluetooth drivers for your specific model and download them.
- Install the downloaded drivers and restart your laptop.
Windows Update:
- Make sure your Windows operating system is up to date. Run Windows Update to check for any available updates, including driver updates.
Check Bluetooth Services:
- Press Win + R to open the Run dialog box, type "services.msc," and press Enter.
- Look for Bluetooth Support Service. Ensure that it's set to Automatic and is started.
BIOS Settings:
- Access your laptop's BIOS settings during the boot process (usually by pressing Esc, F2, F10, or Del).
- Check if there's an option related to Bluetooth, and ensure it's enabled.
Third-Party Bluetooth Software:
- If you've installed any third-party Bluetooth management software, try uninstalling it and rely on the built-in Windows Bluetooth stack.
System Restore:
- If the issue started recently, you can try using System Restore to revert your system to a point when Bluetooth was working.
If after trying these steps Bluetooth still doesn't work, there may be a hardware issue.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
