HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-e2000 (2J4V9AV)

my new neckband is not showing up in the Bluetooth tab .

This is a new device. I used another neckband before this and it didn't have any issues with connecting with the laptop.

i tried the system troubleshooting but it didn't work .

Hi @Jishnu1200,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Since the new Bluetooth neckband is not showing up in your nearby devices on the HP 15.6-inch Laptop PC, here are a few steps you can follow to troubleshoot and fix this issue.

Ensure Neckband is in Pairing Mode

  • Double-check that your new neckband is in pairing mode. Most Bluetooth devices require a specific button press (often holding down the power button for a few seconds) to enter pairing mode. Refer to the user manual of the neckband if needed.

Remove Previous Device from Bluetooth List

  • Sometimes, previously connected Bluetooth devices can interfere with new ones. Ensure you remove the old neckband from your list of paired devices:
    • Go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices.
    • Find your old neckband and Remove it from the list.

Restart Bluetooth Services

  • Restarting the Bluetooth service on your laptop may help:
    • Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and hit Enter.
    • Scroll down to Bluetooth Support Service, right-click on it, and choose Restart.
    • After restarting, try pairing your new neckband again.

Update Bluetooth Driver

  • It's possible the issue is caused by an outdated or malfunctioning Bluetooth driver:
    • Go to Device Manager (press Windows + X, then select Device Manager).
    • Expand the Bluetooth section, right-click on your Bluetooth adapter, and select Update driver.
    • Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.

Uninstall and Reinstall Bluetooth Driver

  • If updating doesn’t help, you can uninstall and reinstall the Bluetooth driver:
    • In Device Manager, right-click the Bluetooth adapter and select Uninstall.
    • Restart your laptop, and Windows will reinstall the driver automatically.

Check for Windows Updates

  • Ensure your Windows system is up to date. Sometimes, updating to the latest version can resolve Bluetooth connectivity issues:
    • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Check for updates.

Check for Interference or Other Devices

  • Ensure there are no other Bluetooth devices nearby that may be interfering with the connection.

Reset Network Settings

  • Resetting the network settings can sometimes help resolve Bluetooth issues:
    • Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Status > Network reset.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
