Hi, I can't turn on bluetooth.

There is no option to turn it on in the bluetooth panel.

In action center the bluetooth icon is not available

Device manager refreshes every second with various errors

I have tried every solution on various forums and no help at all. Extremely frustrating as I need bluetooth.

Please help.bt1.jpgbt2.jpgbt3.jpgbt4.jpg

@bluetoothsucks,

Thank you for being a part of the Hp community. A good day to you. I reviewed the case and will be happy to assist you.

  • Did this happen after a recent power outage or surge?
  • Did it occur after a software or Windows update?

Let's try these steps:

  • Follow all the relevant steps from this link:https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c03429630 and check if the Bluetooth device connects to your computer.
  • Try another Bluetooth device such as a Bluetooth mouse or Headset and check if that works.

If it continues, then uninstall the Bluetooth drivers from device manager and restart the computer and check if it works again.

  • Right-click on start and select device manager.
  • Then uninstall the Bluetooth drive option.
  • Update the bios chipset and Bluetooth drivers from this link: http://hp.com/drivers  and follow the on-screen instructions.
  • Then restart the computer and check again.
  • Run all the latest Windows 10 updates and install them correctly on the computer.

Now check for issue resolution.

  • If the issue persists, try these steps:
  • Press Windows + R simultaneously
  • In the Run box type services.msc
  • Then search for the Bluetooth services (there is 4 of those) stop them, restart them and ensure that they are set to automatic or manual based on its initial setting.
  • If the service initially is automatic, make it automatic again.
  • If it is manual. Make it manual again.

Now check if the issue gets resolved,

  • f there are no hardware issues with the Bluetooth module the issue should get fixed.
  • Otherwise, a good workaround would be is to order a USB Bluetooth dongle or receiver from Amazon or eBay or from a local Best Buy or Staples store and connect it to one of the USB ports of the computer. It will fix the issue for you.
  • This is very cost effective and an economical solution also.

Good luck and keep me posted about the developments. If this helps, please mark this as “Accepted Solution” as it will help several others with the same issue and give the post a Kudos for my efforts to help. Thank you and have a great week ahead. 🙂
