I would like to know if Bluetooth is present on the HP 650 G2 notebook.
Unfortunately I can't find any Bluetooth settings among the tray icons and in the Windows settings it tells me that there may not be a Bluetooth card present.

Maybe the driver needs to be installed?

In the device manager panel I see that I have the Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260 card. Does this card have Bluetooth?

Hi:

Yes, the Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260 card is a combination Wi-Fi/Bluetooth adapter.

So... the first thing to do is to go into the BIOS and make sure the Bluetooth radio is present and enabled.

If it is enabled, disable it, restart the PC and then go into the BIOS and enable it again.

Hopefully the Bluetooth will appear.

If not, then you can try this...

If the notebook ever had W7 installed on it previously, the Bluetooth may have been turned off with the HP connection manager software during the upgrade to W10.

The HP connection manager software is not supported in W10.

The workaround for that (if the first method of disabling and reenabling the Bluetooth in the BIOS doesn't work is to make a bootable Ubuntu USB installation flash drive.

Ubuntu download:

Get Ubuntu | Download | Ubuntu

Tutorial on how to make a bootable ubuntu installer.

Create a bootable USB stick with Rufus on Windows | Ubuntu

Boot from the Ubuntu installer.

Select the option to 'Try Ubuntu without installing.'

See if you can turn the Bluetooth on with Ubuntu.

If you can do so, then exit out of ubuntu, shut down the notebook, remove the ubuntu installation flash drive, restart the notebook and when you return to Windows, the Bluetooth should be present and working again.

Thank you very much, it was simply disabled in the bios.
