Just got this as a more portable option & it has come with loads of pre-installed adware that I can't get rid of.

Booking.com is on my start menu, when I click to uninstall it takes me to control panel where it's not listed. It's not listed under apps either. It is still operating so it's not just an error in whats showing as installed.

There's no HP support which is great as I bought this today, I can only imagine what its like when you have warranty problems.

Anyway, I want to get all the adware off to make some room as it's only 32gb. Booking.com, amazon, xbox etc are just taking up space.

How do I remove them?

Thanks

Found the solution, despite HP sending me contact info for the wrong country by PM.

Booking.com is saving in a folder under program data. Folder settings, then check the box to see hidden folders.

C drive, program data, start delete the booking.com shortcut & it disappears from the start menu. You can also delete all the other stuff you don't want.

You can use powershell to uninstal all the pre-installed software that can be removed or just individual ones. Xbox etc can be removed but support & cortana etc can't be removed.

For one drive, go into settings & uncheck the box which launches on set up.

Download chrome & set to default browser.

Download VLC set as default player.

You should now only have programs which aren't bloatware & run reasonably quickly (not IE).
