Pavilion gv6
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I’m going to be receiving a Pavilion dv6 from a family member soon, this is the older model which originally shipped with Windows 7. The family member has upgraded it to Windows 10 with the upgrade in 2015. On the boot screen, it will obviously display a screen which says the HP logo then shows the Windows logo above the spinning circle as it’s an older version which would have the logo before the Windows 7 boot screen. Would I be able to do something that would change the way it boots instead of showing a screen from 2009? Maybe a BIOS update?

In terms of changing the screen that shows during initial boot? NO -- as that is hard coded into the BIOS of the PC and HP has not updated DV6 BIOS is nearly ten years -- I know because I have one of the original units.
