HP Image assistant fails to download softpaq for Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6E AX211 160MHz.
I have tried to enter the URL manually but it cant find the target.
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp153501-154000/sp153705.html - Exists and you can read information about the driver
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp153501-154000/sp153705.exe - is missing and HPIA fails to download the driver

Hi @local_admin,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're facing an issue with downloading the SoftPaq for the Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX211 driver. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:
1. Check HP Support Website
- Visit the HP Support website directly. Enter your device model and check if the driver is available there. Sometimes, drivers are updated or replaced.
2. Use a Different Browser
- Sometimes, download issues can be browser-related. Try using a different web browser to see if that resolves the problem.
3. Download Alternative Versions
- If the specific version you are trying to download is missing, check for alternate versions or newer releases of the driver. There may be a newer SoftPaq that includes the necessary drivers.
4. Manual Installation
- If you can find the driver files from another trusted source (like Intel’s website), you can download and install the driver manually.
5. Try HP Image Assistant Again
- Ensure you have the latest version of the HP Image Assistant. Sometimes, an update can resolve issues with downloads.
6. Check for Other Sources
- Occasionally, drivers may be hosted on different repositories. Search online for the specific driver using keywords like "Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX211 driver download" and ensure you only use trusted sources.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

@Rachel571
We are encountering this issue as well when using HP Image Assistant for the ZBook Power G10. The WLAN driver is failing to download because HP is not hosting it on their FTP site. Please escalate this as needed so that the driver can be uploaded to HP's FTP site. This is not an issue with our web browsers.

Additionally, the Intel WLAN driver is missing on the HP ZBook Power G10 Software and Drivers page: HP ZBook Power 15.6 inch G10 Mobile Workstation PC Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Support (under the Driver-Network category). This needs to be added back.

Greetings Rachel and thank you for your reply.
I can download it manually from HP Support site without any issues, the issue is that i am using HP Image Assistant to install bios and drivers during a OSD task sequence in SCCM. This way i can automate driver and bios installation for several models across a few thousand devices and i like it when things just work. Right now the download link that HP Image assistant uses is broken for latest Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX211 driver and the download fails.
I hope you can fix this issue so that servicedesk can keep rolling out those computers without manually install the driver after OSD completes.
Best Regards

Hi Rachel, please escalate as this is occurring everywhere and is a HP problem, not a user problem. As the previous poster mentioned, the link is broken and organisations using the HP Image Assistant in OSD cannot install the driver automatically. Thanks.
