CAN MY VICTUS AMD RYZEN 5 NOT WORKING RGB LIGHTING KEYBORD

@VICTUS72,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Most HP laptops, including the Victus series, do not come with built-in RGB lighting keyboards, unless specified in the model's features. The Victus by HP series typically has single-color backlit keyboards, usually white or blue.

If your Victus laptop with an AMD Ryzen 5 processor originally had a backlit keyboard but the lighting is not working, try the following.

Enable Backlight with Key Combination

  • Press F4 or FN + F4 (some models use F5 or FN + F5).
  • If this does not work, check your laptop's manual for the correct key.

Check BIOS Settings

  • Restart your laptop and enter the BIOS (press F10 at startup).
  • Look for keyboard lighting settings and ensure it is enabled.

Update HP OMEN Gaming Hub (If Available)

  • Some HP gaming laptops use the OMEN Gaming Hub to control keyboard lighting.
  • Open OMEN Gaming Hub and check if there are lighting options.

Update or Reinstall Keyboard Drivers

  • Open Device Manager → Expand Keyboards → Right-click and Update driver.
  • If the update does not work, Uninstall the keyboard driver and restart your laptop.

Windows Power Settings

  • Go to Settings → System → Power & Sleep and ensure no settings are turning off the backlight.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
