Hi, I currently have this problem with my Notebook - http://support.hp.com/gb-en/document/c00965412
I updated my Bios, however when I reboot my computer and press f10, under system configuration - CPU C4 function doesn't appear or written, and the sound is driving me mad lol,
anyone have some solutions please?
Thanks!

Welcome to the HP Forums. I would be happy to help you with your HP ENVY Notebook 15-as050sa. I understand that you are getting high pitched noise from the notebook and you have already done some preliminary troubleshooting.
Don't worry though as I have a few steps to determine the issue and find a solution as well,
Download the bios using a flash drive from another computer and update it once again.
Restart the computer and check if the issue is fixed.
If the issue persists, that should be hardware issue.
I request you to contact HP Phone Support for service options.
Let me know how it goes.
I hope it helps and if you feel I have answered your question and concerns,
Please mark this post as a solution accepted and Kudos would also be appreciated.
Cheers.
