Hello! After a fresh install of windows 11pro, my laptop's cemera driver is lost and camera stopped working.
In the device manager, the camera (I think?) is shown as "NU400", and with the alert sign by its icon. I have tried BIOS update, windows update, searching for the drivers through windows update, uninstall the device to force the system to look for the driver, or searching for the driver on the internet, but so far no luck.
The hardware ID is USB\VID_2959&PID_4001&REV_FFFF
The camera behaves in a strange way: Please refer to the photos. With the camera privacy swith turned off (meaning camera is on), the camera indicator light turns on, and the camera seems to open normally, but it only shows an icon of a camera. This is different from situations where it says that "no camera is detected". I don't know what is at fault here.

Hi Gaya,
Thanks a lot for the detailed steps. I really appreciate the help. However, even these steps did not fix the camera problem...
For Your Step 1 and Step 3, I was able to get a popup, namely the CMOS Checksum, but it seems like it had encountered some sort of BIOS-related problem. And all 3 attempts led to the same result. Please see the attached picture below:
For step 2, I got another error popup, as shown in the picture below.
As for step 4, I wasn't able to locate any viable drivers and my "myHP" app does not have a video control section, as shown in the pictures below:
For the 500 and 502 errors, I was able to locate this link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_4209641-3226345-16
However I don't know the exact bios I needed for my device, I have posted my serial number and product number here:
Thank you again Gaya for your help, and please advice what would be the next thing to try!
Best,
Will
