Camera Switch, Solution

I had to use a flashlight to spot this "Micro-Switch." It is directly under the little tab that is at the top or front of the display screen! The Tab is what we use to lift the screen up when we have closed the laptop/Notepad.  It may not be easy to see or feel, but look there. I slid it to the right and signed into a Zoom meeting, and I had video!

Many HP laptops, including Victus and ENVY models, now include a physical camera privacy switch or micro-switch near the top bezel. It’s designed to disable the webcam at the hardware level, which means software settings alone won’t restore video until the switch is toggled.
