Hi,

Its been two weeks since the camera and the microphone of my computer stoped working properly. 

I have checked in the device management page and the drivers for the camera are not to be found, i have tried the search for modification option on the top of the page but it just doesn't do anything. It seems like my computer is acting as if there where no camera plugged inside (it is not coming from the kill switch beeing on)
I think that the problem is coming from the fact that the camera driver desapeared or some what deleted itself. I have tried resetting my PC two times but nothing changed.

Therefore I  wanted to know if someone could tell me where i can re download the drivers because they are not available on the hp drivers page when i use the "recognize my pc feature".

I reviewed your post and I understand that the webcam and the microphone are not working on the computer.

 

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

Hello, 

Thanks for your answer, I have already visited that page and none of the solutions worked unfirunately. The conclusion might be that the camera is unplugged inside my computer but the thing is that it was working perfectly a few weeks earlier and i haven't done anything to my laptop, i genuinlly think that it is a software problem. I would like to redownload the camera drivers from the HP website but when i use the detect my product feature, the site doesn't show any camera or microphone drivers. Do you know if there is somewhere else i could download them ?

The webcam uses the Windows built in drivers and the microphone drive is part of the audio driver.

 

I recommend you contact support to further diagnose the issue.

 

Here is how you can get in touch with support.

 

1)Click on this link – www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.
