I was using the computer and suddenly without having any program or page using the camera the white light next to camera turned on and also the 2 LED lights on both sides of the camera turned on (twinkling). Around 5 minutes later the camera and the red lights next to it turned off automatically, i didn't do anything.
As soon as i noticed the lights I searched what could be the reason and couldn't find it. Why did the camera and the red lights turned on without any reason and then turned of by themselves after a few minutes?

I would guess you have permissions switched on for one or more applications that might use the camera.
