Hi @Ayush2003

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thanks for reporting the issue. If your camera is showing the error code: 0xA00F4244

It means your system cannot detect any webcam device, either due to hardware disconnection, driver issues, or privacy settings.

Let’s work through this step by step to get your camera working again.

Step 1: Check if the Camera is Detected

Press Windows + X → choose Device Manager.

Expand the Imaging Devices, Cameras, or Sound, video, and game controllers section.

Do you see a webcam listed? It may show up as:

HP TrueVision HD

Integrated Camera

USB Camera
Or it may be missing entirely.

If it's missing:

Click View > Show hidden devices.

Check if it appears grayed out or shows an error.

Step 2: Run the Camera Troubleshooter

Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.

Scroll down and run the Camera troubleshooter.

Follow the prompts and apply any suggested fixes.

Step 3: Check Privacy Settings

Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera.

Make sure Camera access is ON.

Ensure apps like Camera, Zoom, or Teams have permission to use the camera.

Step 4: Update or Reinstall the Camera Driver

If the camera shows up in Device Manager:

Right-click on it → choose Update driver.

Select Search automatically for drivers.

If that doesn’t work:

Right-click on the camera → Uninstall device.

Restart your laptop — Windows should reinstall it automatically.

Step 5: Check for Disabled Camera via Keyboard or Software

Some HP laptops have:

A physical camera shutter (check near the lens).

A keyboard shortcut to disable the camera (often F6 or F10, look for a camera icon).

A camera kill switch on the side or above the keyboard (on newer models).

Make sure none of these are disabling your camera.

Step 6: BIOS or UEFI Check

Sometimes the camera is disabled in BIOS/UEFI settings:

Restart your laptop.

Tap Esc or F10 repeatedly at startup to enter BIOS.

Look for a setting like Integrated Camera, Webcam, or Internal Device Settings.

Make sure it’s enabled.

Let me know how it goes.
